      Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay is thought to be one of the most popular and advanced Bengali writers of all time. He was born on 15th September, (Bengali 31st Bhadra, ) in Devanandpur village in Hooghly district in the Indian subcontinent. His father was Motilal Chattopadhyay and his mother was Bhubanmohini Devi.
